Have you admired the streamlined design of your friends’ EVIL cameras, or the jaunty way they carry them around so effortlessly? Toying with buying one? Maybe Haje Jan Kamps’s persuasive article will take you past the point of resistance. Haje is certainly not the only person these days whose interest in photography sprang from a fascination with technology. Born in the Netherlands, he moved to Norway with his family at age 5. At 16, appalled by how little information was available in Norway on digital gear, he started the website digitalkamera.no, which he eventually sold. Haje has authored several books on photography, including the recent Photographing People: Focus on the Fundamentals. He also writes a successful blog and continues to explore the world of photography. Follow him on twitter @Photocritic or on his blog at pixiq.com/contributors/haje
